Hey everyone, this is insaneintherainmusic!

Nice to meet you! I’m Carlos Eiene, also known as “insaneintherainmusic”. I’m an American / Filipino musician with a huge passion for video game music. I compose music for video games, and also record my own instrumental performances for video games and all sorts of other projects. Over the years, I’ve also released over 400 arrangements of video game music on my YouTube channel insaneintherainmusic.

I was born in the Seattle area of Washington state in the USA, and picked up piano as my first instrument when I was pretty young. Soon after, I was introduced to wind instruments via my school band program, and eventually settled on saxophone as my primary instrument.

In 2012, I started my YouTube channel insaneintherainmusic, where I began sharing my arrangements of video game music online! Since starting the channel, I’ve been able to collaborate with musicians across the globe, release several video game music arrangement albums, and have had the opportunity to perform at numerous gaming conventions! In 2020, I graduated from the Berklee College of Music, where I majored in Contemporary Writing and Production, and minored in Video Game Scoring.

In 2022, I announced my retirement as a YouTube content creator, and shifted my focus to composing music for video games. In the years following that announcement, I worked on indie game soundtracks for Battle Suit Aces, and Tyrion Cuthbert: Attorney of the Arcane.

In October 2025, I participated as a Composer for the soundtrack of Pokémon: Legends Z-A! Most recently, in June 2026, I contributed music to the soundtrack of DELTARUNE Chapter 5.

I love video game music. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved playing video games, and I’ve also loved playing instruments. When I discovered that those two passions could be combined and you could play video game music on real instruments… I thought that was pretty dang cool! Now, I’m just continually pursuing my love of video game music in any way I can - and I have no plans to stop any time soon!
